The Translational Research Center on Mood Disorders and Suicide (CEPETTHS in Portuguese) focuses on advancing our knowledge on preclinical and clinical aspects of Mood Disorders, especially suicide.
 
The CEPETTHS is located at Universidade do Vale do Taquari (Univates), Lajeado, Brazil. The region Taquari Valley (population: 348.435) has an unusually high incidence of suicide, roughly three times the Brazilian rate, which makes the development of suicide research crucial in this region. We are a multidisciplinary team, including professionals and students of different areas.
